Gulf Islands Cottage
Tamlin’s post & beam building on Cortes Island, features 12” thick solid reclaimed timbers which were completely precut and preassembled at our factory in Langley, BC. The timber structure was pre-fit and then taken down piece by piece and has been reassembled on site. The second floor “dormers” are being framed now and will allow for better head room in the loft level. The roof system which is a combination of structural timber and hand framed roof joists will allow for the feature vaulted space in the great room. With the immense timber logs, this cabin is going to be the “coolest” place in the summer and “toastiest” warm cabin in the winter !
