The Cortes Island reclaimed Douglas Fir cabin is approaching first floor completion. The owners and builders are extremely pleased with the progress to date and are now awaiting the second delivery of materials.
This next delivery will consist of solid Douglas Fir open riser stairs that were pre-built at the Tamlin facility, all roofing materials for the 40 year metal roof system, insulation, interior framed walls , doors, windows, and all casings for both the interior and exterior. This will bring the cabin to the weather tight lock-up stage.
The owners have been very supportive of the local tradespeople on Cortes Island by using builders from the island and locals that specialize in interior finishing for the bathroom, flooring and custom kitchen cabinetry.
