This customized Discovery Ridge home project is nearing completion on Quadra Island, off the east coast of Vancouver Island. The home was designed for a retiring couple who wanted the perfect contemporary home retreat to enjoy island living. The house is about 1,500 square foot on each floor, and has a convenient walk-out basement and spacious deck on the main floor.
For low maintenance, Tamlin’s “rustic” wood-look cement board siding was used, along with smooth cement board sidings on the view side. Tamlin’s signature solid timber beams and Douglas Fir soffits with prefinished black trim highlights the natural wood components of this home.
