For some of Tamlin’s clients who really love wood, our custom premade Douglas fir stair systems are designed in sections to be installed quickly on site. All stair systems are precut, test fit/pre-assembled, sanded, sealed, and carefully packaged. The Douglas fir stair design is usually an “open riser” style with solid wood stair treads about 3- 4 inches thick. Final handrails can then be attached to the stairs.
For a straight run stair, all the treads are housed in between the long stringers, so the “whole base of the stairs system” can be lifted in place between floors.
For other custom stairs such as U shaped, L shaped, and even custom timber-steel stairs Tamlin’s expert timber craftsmen work with our in-house design team to provide sections of stairs that can be simply assembled on site.
