Tamlin was honoured to be chosen to work on this commercial project in the District of West Vancouver in 2008/2009. Gleneagles golf course is greater Vancouver’s fifth oldest continuously operated golf course so restoring as much of the original materials was a priority. Gleneagles golf course was rated one of Canada’s best 9-hole courses in 2014 by Canadian Golf Course magazine. Lakeside Fort Langley Creston Gull Lake Thetis Island Burnaby Reno This 900 square foot in-law suite addition was designed and built by Tamlin Homes. As regulations where this suite was built stated that the building must be attached to the main house there were design considerations to conform to those bylaws. Architecturally, the objective of the in-law suite addition was to maintain a completely seamless extension to the main house, while providing for an independent life style. As a barrier free design, all doorways are at least 36” wide and the unit is accessible by way of a ramped walkway to the entryway. Rather than having a towering building in the backyard, this addition was sunken to match the existing basement level. However, to allow a bright and open atmosphere a low-level rock garden with huge walk-out patio surrounds the unit. This in-law suite was meticulously designed with the owners in mind and will allow for many years of enjoyment. White Rock Reno This 1,500 sq ft rancher was completely redesigned and updated to incorporate Tamlin’s west coast timber frame architecture. The custom entry porch features solid Douglas Fir timbers and rafters at the eaves and cultured stone bases. The exterior landscaping provides the final touch of rock and nature at your door step. The inside of the house is a balanced combination of contemporary kitchen cabinetry, hardwood floors and natural tiles. Check out all the before pictures at the end of the gallery. You won’t be able to recognize this home because it’s transformation is so extreme! Ocean Park Reno Crescent Beach East White Rock John Lawson Park Tamlin was excited to have the chance to work with the District of West Vancouver and Crag’s End Construction to add a Timber Frame picnic shelter to this iconic park. Like all of Tamlin’s timber structures, this was hand crafted out of our gorgeous coastal Douglas fir and test fitted at our factory before being taken down for shipping and assembly on site. McCall Idaho Peachland Langley Sunshine Coast Salt Spring Daycare Timber Shelter – NWT These two timber frame shelters are currently being built in the remote town of Tuktoyaktuk. Tuktoyaktuk is the farthest north you can drive in Canada. Tamlin’s precut, pre-fit post and beam process was more than perfect for this project considering how easy it was to reassemble on site. Tamlin packages and labels everything before shipping to make the lives of our clients so much easier.
