INTERESTED IN THIS BUILD?
This Panorama Series project in Boise, Idaho, is a large-scale custom home inspired by Tamlin’s contemporary Panorama design. At approximately 2,537 sq. ft. with an additional 617 sq. ft. attached garage, this home was carefully developed to suit a sloped site while maximizing both interior space and connection to the surrounding landscape.
The design is centered around a spacious open concept living, dining, and kitchen area that supports both everyday living and entertaining. The main level includes flexible spaces such as a bedroom, office, and dedicated utility areas, while the upper level is defined by a private primary suite complete with a loft sitting area and access to a rooftop deck. The layout also extends to a fully functional lower level, creating a home that is adaptable for long-term living and evolving lifestyle needs.
Large sliding glass doors and folding door systems create a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, opening onto covered decks and patios that can be used throughout the year. The integration of the attached garage is carefully considered within the overall form, maintaining a cohesive architectural expression while supporting the functionality of the home. Douglas Fir timber elements add warmth and structure to the contemporary design, while the overall composition reflects a balance of scale, light, and functionality.
The Efficiency of Prefabrication
This project highlights the advantages of Tamlin’s prefabricated and panelized building system in a custom residential build. Structural components including timber frame elements, wall panels, and floor systems were precision manufactured in a controlled environment and delivered as a complete home package.
This approach allowed construction to move efficiently once the foundation was complete, reducing on site labour requirements and improving coordination across all phases of the build. Tamlin’s prefabricated home packages are designed to meet Idaho building code requirements and can be adapted for sloped sites, supporting a more efficient and predictable path from design through construction.
