This modified Custom rancher-style home is currently under construction on Salt Spring Island. The client came to us with her own design and wanted to work with us to create a custom prefabricated house package for her and to collaborate with our designers to incorporate some interior timber design in the home
For the exterior finishing the client went with a mix of corrugated metal for the sides of the home and 1×4 vertical cedar. All the corners, fascia, and 1×4 cedar were all prestained Sansin Onyx at our factory.
When it comes to timber design, our in-house design staff work directly with the structural engineer and our wall panel division to ensure ease of construction on site. Some of our designs incorporate both solid Douglas Fir timbers and glulaminated Douglas Fir timbers. All our timber design is pre-cut, manufactured, and test fit in our facility before you receive delivery for the house package.
