This 2,100 square foot West Coast Contemporary home (including basement) was customized from Tamlin’s “Discovery Ridge Series” to meet the client’s needs on one of the smaller Gulf Islands in BC. As an off-the-grid home, the owner-builder approached Tamlin not only for our industry leading design, but for the ease of shipping and assembly for a hard-to-reach location. While the original plan included one-level living only, the sloping site made it possible to add a walk out basement to the design. Final engineering and permit plans were completed in January 2023, so the homeowner has had plenty of time to complete site work and pour the foundation. The next step is Tamlin delivering its prefabricated home package! This house package shipment will involve both ferry and barge delivery set for late spring. Stay tuned for more updates!
