Tamlin’s Custom Hybrid timber frame home in Lethbridge, AB is being constructed on schedule. This 2,200 ft2 two story residence is a homeowner build project. To make construction easy and fast, Tamlin custom designed the home package with a complete premade and prefit timber structure which was assembled in a couple of days on site.
All framed walls were panelized, so they could be assembled with ease on site, and even the Douglas Fir timber open riser stairs were recently shipped completely pre-built. The homeowner, Kurtis, is very satisfied with all the quality of materials and Tamlin’s custom design approach, which simplifies construction for home-owner builders. Utilizing Tamlin’s meticulous CAD drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM), there were very few questions that came up during construction, and of course Tamlin was available at its Timber Frame head office to quickly fix any technical issues.
Throughout the entire planning and building process, Tamlin and the homeowner have worked together, and this has even involved making special financial arrangements with the owner’s banking institution to make sure the critical budget issues were addressed which allowed the project to proceed.
