Russia Timber Frame Project
THIS FIRST CANADIAN TIMBER FRAME HOME FOR RUSSIA will start a new trend in custom homes for the huge Russian market where post and beam homes have not been part of residential construction. The timberframe structure features the Canadian West Coast “Douglas Fir”, a strong and beautiful tree up to 120m in height.
Modern timberframe joinery can be compared to handcrafted furniture, which has a unique visual appeal inside of a home and can be personalized by way of design, balance and proportion – just like a piece of art.
Pavel Denisov Design took on the challenge of creating this contemporary custom home, inspired by North American traditional wood craftsmanship, with the cooperation of Tamlin International Homes. They are experienced in local timberframe design and construction, and combined with their 25-year history of successful “house package“ export business, were the ideal partner.
