Dotted along the beautiful rugged west coast of Vancouver Island, are many small towns that started as a logging towns and are now known as a hidden gems for surfers. Our clients have just under 3 acres in one of these secluded spots. Because of their location, our prefabricated West Coast contemporary house package worked perfectly for them.
Our clients contacted Tamlin about this build in the Fall of 2018, and we began work to design a custom contemporary family home for them.
This 2 storey home is currently at lockup and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The house is 765 sq. ft. on each floor with the lower floor for bedrooms and laundry and the upper floor has the kitchen, living, and dining room. A covered deck and double sliding doors allow for indoor/outdoor living. The exterior siding is a combination of western red cedar 1×6 shadowline and sidewall shingles with the shadowline pre-finished to a beautiful golden-brown shade to blend with the environment.
