Tamlin’s Gulf Island RECLAIMED Douglas Fir log cabin is just about up to the “lock up stage” of construction. The roof finish has been completed and the windows have been installed. The structural timber frame and huge 12” x 12” Douglas Fir timbers and log walls have been assembled, and as you can see in the photos this log cabin is a wood-lovers dream home! Along with the good building weather, the exterior staining has been started. Tamlin uses a completely environmentally friendly stain which is very durable and will last many years. The owner is thrilled with the progress especially on such a remote building site.
